EUROLEX is a quarterly journal that has been published starting with the year 2001 by the Center for European Studies “The internal market and the competition” of the Institute for World Economy – The Romanian Academy.

Each issue of the journal contains synthesis and commentaries regarding the most recent initiatives of the European Commission on the policy and legislation of the Internal Market and Competition fields. The journal also presents many case studies relevant to the way in which the European Commission enforces the legislation regarding the protection of competition and the direct consequences for the economic growth of member states and the maintaining of free competition in the Single Market.

Among the competition policy components, a special attention, mainly during the global economic and financial crisis period, was granted for the application of the policy and legislation on the control of state aids, an essential instrument for ensuring an equitable and competitive economic field on the internal market of EU.
